My life as a photographer started in New Zealand nearly 15 years ago.

Based in Queenstown but working throughout the Wakitipu and Southland areas, I photographed a wide range of subjects, including winter sports, e-commerce, events and advertising. You name it – I did it. It was fun—a lot of fun.

The only thing I never photographed was a wedding. However, upon returning to the UK, I quickly discovered what I’d been missing.

This coming year will mark the completion of my first decade as a wedding photographer, and I have no plans to stop anytime soon. It’s an incredible privilege to be able to do what I do, and the joy it brings me certainly hasn’t faded after all this time.

My work is informed by light, colour, mood and texture, while giving a nod to cinema, street photography and contemporary portraiture too.

There’s nothing quite like a wedding; The first look. A deep breath as the ceremony begins. Laughter and tears during the reception. Your dad’s terrible dancing – all of it. Pure unadulterated joy as you celebrate with your favourite people in the world.

Make no mistake, you’re going to have the best time ever. And when it comes to photography, it’s about capturing every beat of the day with an equal amount of respect and curiosity.
